FAQ

All contractual documents, including your Terms of Work (ToW), CIIA (Confidential Information and Inventions Assignment Agreement), tax documentation, and offer letter, are accessible within the “Documents” section of your offer or contract page on work.mercor.com.
You may download these files directly from the Documents section on your dashboard. Should you experience any issues accessing them, kindly email support@mercor.com, including the project name and pertinent dates.
While we’re sad to see you go, we absolutely respect your decision. You may request data deletion through your Account Settings. Once there, scroll down to find the option to delete your account. The process typically takes up to 7 days to be finalized.
After deletion, you will receive a confirmation email. Note that some data may be retained to comply with legal and tax obligations. For full details, visit our Privacy Policy.
Yes. Mercor complies with GDPR standards concerning data protection and processing for individuals within the European Union. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data in accordance with these regulations.

The agreement is standardised for all contractors to ensure fairness and consistency, so we’re unable to remove or amend individual sections.

Your data remains secure; Mercor does not engage in the sale or sharing of your information with third parties. You may request the deletion of your account at any time via your account settings.
U.S. citizens and residents are advised to complete a W-9 form. Non-U.S. individuals are recommended to complete a W-8BEN form.
Please contact support@mercor.com, and our team will reset your tax form to enable you to submit the correct version.
Mercor does not withhold any taxes. You are responsible for reporting and paying your own taxes in accordance with your local laws.

Work Authorization

Yes. Both pre- and post-completion OPT are eligible to work on Mercor projects.
Mercor is unable to sign Form I-983, which is a prerequisite for STEM OPT employment.
Yes, but you must obtain approval from your university’s Designated School Official (DSO), and the employment must be an integral component of your academic curriculum.
Mercor does not provide visa sponsorship, including H-1B or other employment-based visas.
