We love referrals, here’s what to expect

You are elgible for a referral bonus once someone accepts their offer and works for 10 hours.

Referral bonuses are sent out weekly on the same payout schedule Mercor uses for it’s offers.

Payment will be sent via Stripe if you already work with Mercor, otherwise it will be sent via Wise.

Referrals not made via your referral link are still appreciated, but will not be paid out (since we can’t track it!)

Frequently asked questions
If someone is already working with Mercor and I refer them to a new opportunity, do I still get paid?
No, we will only consider referrals for people that have not had an active contract with Mercor in the past 3 months.
What qualifies as a “Top 25” university?
We use US News’s 2025 rankings of the top 25 universities in the US. This includes: Princeton University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Stanford University, Yale University, California Institute of Technology, Duke University, Johns Hopkins University, Northwestern University, University of Pennsylvania, Cornell University, University of Chicago, Brown University, Columbia University, Dartmouth College, University of California, Los Angeles, University of California, Berkeley, Rice University, University of Notre Dame, Vanderbilt University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Washington University in St. Louis, Emory University, and Georgetown University.
Do I get money if someone uses my link to sign up for Mercor?
No, referral bonuses are only sent out once someone recieves and accepts an offer from Mercor and works for 10 hours with us.
What if multiple people refer the same person?
We only pay the referral bonus to the first person who made the referral, in other words, the referral bonus is paid only one time per person.
How do I see if my referral accepted their offer and began working?
Currently, we are still working on adding support for this feature in-app, we know it would be super helpful! If you think you are elgible for a bonus and have not gotten it yet, please reach out to support@mercor.com
