FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Mercor employs an AI interviewer to pose role-specific questions, generate a transcript of your responses, and evaluate your performance for the listing. Most interviews require approximately 20 minutes, although some may be shorter or longer. Each unique interview is only necessary to complete once; if another application necessitates the same interview, your existing result will be retained.
From your Mercor dashboard:
  1. Sign in to your Mercor dashboard.
  2. Proceed to the Application tab — the steps may be completed in any sequence.
  3. If the application necessitates an AI interview, please access the application and initiate the interview process from the step list.
  4. The synchronization of completed steps across applications ensures that if you have already completed the interview, it will be reflected as such.
The mock or practice interview feature has been deprecated and is no longer available on the platform. That said, you can still retake your AI interview up to three times if you’d like to strengthen your responses before submitting an application.
• Recommended: Google Chrome (latest version).

  4. Select Retake interview and follow the prompts.

  3. Please refresh the page and attempt again.
• Maintain brevity in responses and refrain from extended silences.• Request the AI to repeat or clarify a question if necessary.• If audio problems persist, exit and retake from your dashboard.
• Reopen the interview tab and attempt again.• If the session has concluded, retake the interview via Interviews → ⋯ → Retake interview.• If you have exhausted your three attempts and the issue was technical, please contact support to request a one-off retake.
  1. Please wait 30–60 seconds. Short delays may occur during the AI’s prompt generation process.
  2. Please refresh the page and rejoin the session.
  3. Use the appropriate browser; Chrome (latest version) is highly recommended.
  4. Please verify your internet connectivity, as unstable Wi-Fi or limited bandwidth may hinder the bot’s response capabilities.
  5. Clear cache and cookies via Chrome: go to Settings, then Privacy & Security, select ‘Clear browsing data,’ and ensure that ‘Cached images and files’ as well as ‘Cookies’ are checked.
  6. Disable VPNs and extensions — Temporarily deactivate VPNs, ad blockers, and privacy extensions, as they may obstruct live AI streaming. Conduct a quick test by opening an Incognito window and attempting again.
