Candidates with strong match scores, availability, and completed requirements (resume, verified interviews, skills etc) are automatically matched and marked as prequalified.

Prequalified candidates are treated as if they’ve already applied, so hiring teams can send an offer without requiring an application.

Once an offer is sent, the candidate receives an Instant Offer email and can begin immediately—no listing views, applications, or assessements involved.

No. Instant Work Offers are non-exclusive. You can:
  • Receive multiple Instant Work Offers at the same time
  • Accept or decline each offer individually
  • Continue applying to other roles manually on Mercor
Yes, you can. You’re always welcome to apply directly to roles on Mercor, even if you’re currently being considered for instant work offers. Your ongoing applications won’t interfere with one another.
All offers—including Instant Work Offers—come with an expiry deadline. Please review the details and accept or decline before the deadline.What happens if I don’t respond?
If you don’t respond in time, the offer will expire automatically.
Where to find the deadline

    3) Stay “offer-ready”
    • Set accurate availability (start date, weekly hours) and update it whenever it changes
    • Enable notifications (email/app) so you don’t miss time-sensitive offers
    4) Complete assessments & interviews
    • Finish any pending Mercor assessments or screenings
    • Periodically add new assessments as your skills evolve
    5) Be responsive
    • Accept/decline offers before the expiry deadline
    • Reply promptly to follow-ups or clarification questions

Instant offers are sent only when your verified interviews, assessments, skills, and availability closely match what a role needs. When that happens, your profile may be shared with the hiring team as prequalified, and they can send you an offer even if you didn’t apply. Since not every role uses instant offers, updating your profile doesn’t always mean you’ll get one right away, as various factors are involved in the decision making process. As always, we recommend continuing to apply to roles on the Mercor platform that best match your skills and experience.
