# Project Offboarding

> What transpires upon the conclusion of your project and the procedures involved in offboarding— including causes such as policy violations or performance issues.

<Note>
  This page elucidates the concept of offboarding at Mercor, delineates the anticipated procedures upon the conclusion of a project, and specifies the circumstances leading to removal from a project.
</Note>

## 1. Project Ended

**What it means**

* Your contractual engagement has formally concluded.
* Access to project tools, such as Slack and Airtable, will be revoked shortly thereafter.

**What to do next**

* Please submit your final hours and deliverables prior to the established deadline.
* Please anticipate your payout according to the standard schedule.
* If you're using Stripe for the first time, your payout may be subject to a mandatory seven-day hold.
* Maintain your Mercor profile and keep it up to date — you will continue to be eligible for new listings and offers.

<Tip>
  Project terminations occur due to various reasons, including completion, scope alterations, or budget constraints. They do not affect your standing unless associated with fraudulent activity or performance issues.

## 2.  Policy Violation

<Warning>
  Any attempt to falsify work or misuse AI may result in the immediate termination of the contract and forfeiture of payments.
</Warning>

**Examples (non‑exhaustive):**

* Submitting AI-generated responses as your own work,
* Using AI to solve, explain, or evaluate tasks,
* Sharing prompts, datasets, or client information externally.

**Consequences:**

* Immediate removal from the project.
* Non-payment for fraudulent submissions.
* Permanent ban from the platform.

## 3. Performance Offboarding

**Signals:**

* Delayed submission of deadlines.
* Substandard work or the necessity for multiple revisions, coupled with a deficiency in communication or responsiveness.

**Remedy (if applicable):**

* Your Project Lead may initiate a **trial sprint** with specific expectations and timelines.
* If improvements are not observed, the project team reserves the right to terminate your contract.

<Tip>
  We highly encourage establishing feedback loops. If there is any uncertainty regarding your performance, please consult your Project Lead or seek clarification at an early stage.
